As many performance car enthusiasts may have already heard, Audi is set to end production of its RS6 at the end of September. In order to mark the occasion the team at Cargraphic have been working hard on some modifications which will give the vehicle a boost.

As if the performance of the 4F Series 426kw/ 580 PS engine wasn’t enough, it will now pack a 489 kW/ 665 PS punch. This equates to an additional of 15% of power, which will turn the Audi into a more impressive beast.

The engineers at cargraphic have also developed some three-part GT-R 21-inch rims and a brand new system, which will add to the visual appeal of the motor. Read the rest of this entry »

However, certain kinds of places of learning have undergone interesting transformations in recent years. The expansion of the global communications network has impacted most institutions. The definitions for what is considered ‘art’ are evolving regularly.

So much more than traditional ‘art’ can now be found at institutions of learning. New programs and tools in graphic design, communications design, and others are changing the way art is viewed. As a result, things like oil painting and figurative drawing are being offered right alongside computer graphics. Web design and online art classes are promoted opposite sculpting and ceramics.

Many factors can come into play when looking for a school to study art. Things like location, choices in terms of courses, pricing, etc., all tend to factor in. But, depending on what one is looking to do or experience, choices can generally be narrowed down. Some places tend to be geared more toward the world of computer generated design and art than others. Some manage to mix the traditional and contemporary in a way that appeals to those looking to experience both worlds.

When it comes to arts schools, there are numerous models to choose from. Examples run the gamut from private institutions to accredited colleges to smaller ateliers. Many schools now offer online courses and entire degrees can be pursued over the internet. If becoming an artist appeals to you, some of these schools may be worth looking into. At the very least, one will come away with a greater knowledge of the world and a finer appreciation of the artistic community.

Former F1 driver Johnny Herbert is set to make his debut at the Spa 24 Hour race in July racing an Audi R8 LMS car.

46-year-old Herbert is an experience endurance racer – he won the Le Mans 24 Hour race in 1991 and also has three grand prix wins to his name.

He joins fellow former F1 pilots Mark Blundell, Stefan Johansson and Indy 500 winner Eddie Cheever in an all-star line-up at the United Autosports team for the Belgian event.

Herbert has experience racing an R8 prototype – he took eight wins from 34 starts in the European Le Mans Series between 2001 and 2004 – but has plans for a test behind the wheel of this race-prepared supercar at the Spa circuit next week.

Johnny is excited to get back behind the wheel: “To get the opportunity to do a 24 hour race again is wonderful and especially as it’s at Spa which has always been one of my favourite race tracks.

“I’ve never competed in the Spa 24 Hours so I’m really looking forward to that aspect as well as competing for United Autosports for the first time and reacquainting myself with Audi.”

The Spa race will mark Herbert’s first 24 hour event since taking part in the Dubai 24 Hour race two years ago.
